Hellraiser cube

The brief was to make one of these, using a 6"x6"x6" cube as the base, using whatever methods and materials I chose. I took the 18mm ply cube and veneered it with some 1.2mm Mahogany . I then used some Brass shim, that I had acid etched with the designs, to cover each face. I then used a succession of coats of varnish to get a smooth finish. I aged the woodwork slightly, by not allowing the varnish to fully cure before, using chemicals to remove any excess. Each face is different.
